Bless Up & Bloom launches 'Bloom Basics'

FINDLAY — Bless Up & Bloom has announced the launch of Bloom Basics: Planting the Seeds of Self-Confidence, a hands-on hygiene education program designed to equip individuals of all ages with practical self-care skills and essential hygiene products. Bloom Basics is an interactive, judgment-free workshop that provides participants with personal hygiene items while offering clear, approachable guidance on how and when to use them. From understanding effective deodorant application to learning healthy hair care routines and why shampoo sometimes needs a second wash to remove natural oils, the program builds confidence through everyday knowledge. "Access to hygiene products matters," said Bless Up & Bloom Founder Brooke Simsa. "But understanding how to use them properly is what truly builds confidence. Bloom Basics is about dignity, empowerment, and giving people the tools they need to feel their best." Bloom Basics is available for onsite hosting at a variety of locations, with content tailored to age and audience. The program can be adapted for schools and youth groups, scout troops, church ministries, recovery centers, domestic violence shelters,homeless shelters, foster and transitional youth programs, group homes, special needs programs, re-entry and correctional facilities, and corporate and workforce development settings. Each session is tailored to the host organization's needs while maintaining a welcoming, supportive approach. To assemble hygiene kits for participants, Bless Up & Bloom is seeking donations of new, unopened hygiene products, including deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste and brushes. Community members and businesses can support Bloom Basics by purchasing items directly from the organization's online wish list or by making a monetary contribution.
