Tuesday, it was a two-run rally in the top of the eighth inning that earned the Trojans a 4-2 win over Wapakoneta.Findlay trailed 2-0 before rallying for two runs in the fourth, with an RBI single by senior shortstop Delaney Harris tying the game.FHS starting pitcher Emma George shut Wapakoneta down the rest of the way. The freshman right-hander got the offensive support she needed in the eighth when Monika Kerwin doubled in the go-ahead run and Ryan Boes followed with an RBI single.George went the distance, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking four in her first varsity start.Senior catcher Addi Sprang had two hits for Findlay, including the 100th hit of her prep career. SwimmingCANTON – Findlay's Tillie Abbott swept the freestyle events at the 2026 Great Lakes YMCA Zone swimming championships held in Canton over the weekend.Abbott, a two-time state qualifier for Findlay High, won the 50- (24.53), 100- (52.97), 200- (1:54.91) and 500-yard (5:14.13) freestyle events in the girls 15-over division.
