Clark scores four times, Trojans double up Generals

WAYNE 7FINDLAY – Jaron Clark scored four goals, Cam Wight and MJ Greenawalt added three each and Findlay High's boys lacrosse team ran its winning streak to four straight with a 14-7 Northern Lakes League win over Anthony Wayne.Wight added two assists and Clark had one for the Trojans, 3-0 in NLL matches and 5-1 overall.Will Hammer scored two goals and had seven ground balls for the Trojans. Henry Iten and Jacob Meier also found the back of the net, with Iten adding two assists and Meier and Tate Sprague chipping in with one each.Griffin Lane was 19-for-24 on face-offs and had nine ground balls. WAYNE 5FINDLAY 0FINDLAY – Anthony Wayne dominated the Northern Lakes League in boys tennis a year ago and with five first- and second-team all-NLL players back the Generals appear primed and loaded to do it again.Anthony Wayne did nothing to lessen those expectations on Tuesday when the Generals dropped just eight games, swept all five matches in straight sets and posted a 5-0 victory over Findlay in an NLL match at the FHS Courts.Brody Sotto, last year's NLL champion at No. 1 singles, defeated Findlay's Owen Vick 6-0, 1-0 and Will Black, who won the 2025 title at No. 3 singles, moved up to No. 2 and doubled up Aidan Buddelmeyer 6-1, 6-1. At No. 3 singles, AW freshman Elliot Keafing topped Ashton Barger 6-1, 6-4.Anthony Wayne did not drop a game in sweeping the double matches, with Will Rhodes and Reed Hahn (No. 1) beating Tyler Asel and Zack Barnhart and Ty Langenderfer and Billy Dean (No. 2) blanking Noah Klink and Grant Basinger by 6-0, 6-0 scores.Findlay, 2-2 overall, faces another major challenge today when the Trojans host Toledo St. John's, a long-time former rival from the Three Rivers Athletic Conference days.
