VAN BUREN 10 ARLINGTON 1 VAN BUREN – Audrey Riegle blasted a two run homer, Ava DeCooman drove in four runs, and Jordan Patton scattered four hits as Van Buren knocked off Arlington, 10-1. DeCooman doubled, tripled and scored a run for the Black Knights, who improved to 4-4, 3-0 in the BVC. Avery Beall doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in a run for Van Buren, which had seven hits overall, and took advantage of four Red Devils' errors. Patton allowed one run in the fifth inning. She walked two and struck out seven to pick up the win. Arlington (1-6, 1-1 BVC) got a double and RBI from Ellie Marquart, who also pitched three innings Monday, allowing an unearned run while striking out two and walking one. ELMWOOD 4 ADA 0 ADA – In a Blanchard Valley Conference showdown between a pair of 10-0 teams, Trinity Sander and Addi Hoffman made the difference for Elmwood in a 4-0 win over Ada. It was Sander who ripped a three-run homer in the fifth inning, and it was Hoffman who struck out eight in six shutout innings. The Rams scored nine run each in the first, third and fourth innings, and toppled the Blue Devils, 27-3. The Blue Devils committed nine errors in the loss. Upper Sandusky's Ava Saull clubbed a homer and scored three runs and plated four, while Maddie Wengerd tripled, singled three times, scored five runs registered four RBIs. Madison Hart doubled, singled twice, scored two runs and drove in five runs, while Addy Johnson doubled twice, scored three times and had four RBIs. Kenslee Swavel – who drove in three runs – pitched three innings for the win. Swavel allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits. She struck out four and didn't walk a batter. The Rams improved to 9-2, 4-0 in the N10. All three of Carey's runs came in the third inning. Bayah Harsanje hit a solo homer in that inning, while adding a double and single in the game for the Blue Devils. Tylinn Stoll took the loss for Carey, allowing eight runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out two. Carey dropped to 6-7, 1-3 in the N10. McComb's Lily Sebring homered, and Peyton Dingledine doubled, drove in a run and scored. Sebring took the loss in the circle, allowing 12 hits. The Panthers fell to 6-4, 0-3 in the BVC.
