Yeager sets mark, FHS knocks off Wildcats

BOYS LACROSSE FINDLAY 10NORTHVIEW 3FINDLAY – Six players scored goals in a balanced Findlay attack and senior defenseman Hudson Yeager became the program's all-time leader in ground balls when the Trojans beat Sylvania Northview 10-3 on Tuesday in a Northern Lakes League lacrosse match.MJ Greenawalt scored three goals and Cam Wight and Jake Neat had two each for the Trojans, who rebounded from a one-goal loss to Marysville and improved their record to 7-2 overall and 5-0 in NLL matches. Will Hammer, Jacob Meier and Draven Wilson also chipped in with one goal each.Hammer had three assists and Wight, Meier, Wilson and Henry Iten all had one.Yeager, who will be swapping lacrosse gear for football pads when he competes in the annual Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North-South all-star game April 29 in Massillon, had seven ground balls against Northview to become the school's all-time leader in that category.Griffin Lane won 13-of-17 face-offs, and goalie Cashel West made five saves.Unofficially, Tuesday's win puts Findlay atop the NLL boys lacrosse standings at 5-0.
