Riverdale scores six in fourth, tops Hornets

RIVERDALE 11C-RAWSON 6MOUNT BLANCHARD– Riverdale used a six-run fourth inning to defeat Cory-Rawson on Thursday.The Falcons were able to secure a win on 'Wes Davis Day', a night to celebrate the late Wesley Davis, a former baseball coach who led the Falcons for more than 20 years. "It's just a great day for our community and baseball program to remember and celebrate a great coach and an even better man," Falcons coach Drew Bostic said. "We're fortunate that we're able to dedicate a day to a guy who dedicated so much to the Riverdale community and baseball program for a lot of years."Landon Passet hit a double and three singles, going 4-for-4, and drove in three runs for the Falcons. Kydin Reed recorded a double, a single, and two RBIs. Tate Weber hit two singles and drove in two runs. Jackson Armrose grabbed the win on the mound, striking out seven.
