GREEN 1FINDLAY – It was déjà vu all over again for Findlay High's boys lacrosse team when the Trojans powered their way to a 15-1 Northern Lakes League win over Bowling Green on Tuesday.Findlay dominated BG 17-0 in an earlier game this season and was in control start to finish again on Tuesday. Henry Iten led the way offensively, scoring four goals and assisting on four others as the sophomore attack had a hand in over half of Findlay's 15 points.MJ Greenawalt had three goals and two assists, Cam Wight three goals and one assist and Jaron Clark two goals and an assist. Wight's four total points gave him a single-season record 52 points (40 goals, 12 assists) for the 2026 season.Will Hammer and Jake Neat had a goal and an assist each. Jacob Meier also found the back of the net and Noah Gaberdiel and Draven Wilson had assists.Griffin Lane was 10-of-18 in face-offs. Lucas Briggs and Cashel West made two saves each in goal for the Trojans, who ended a three-game slide and improved their record to a program best 10-5. Findlay is at Sylvania Northview on Thursday and hosts Perrysburg on Saturday, before preparing for OHSAA tournament play next week. UF sports FINDLAY – Ashleigh Duflo won a second straight medalist title and the University of Findlay women's golf team captured the fifth regional championship in program history at the rain-shortened NCAA Division II East Regional tournament held at the Findlay Country Club.UF, ranked No. 3 in the country, posted scores of 290 and 306 when teams played 36 holes on Monday. The Oilers added a 298 in Tuesday's rain-drenched third round for a front-running 903 total.Duflo, a junior, carded 1-over scores of 73 in all three rounds. UF softballFINDLAY – The University of Findlay softball team has clinched a spot in the NCAA Division II regional, and will find out Monday who, when and where it will be playing.UF clinched its regional bid by winning the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament. That secured one of the 42 automatic-qualifying spots in the regional, with 22 at-large bids completing the 64-team bracket.Regional play (double elimination) will be held May 14-16, with Super Regionals (best-of-three) going on May 21-22. Regional champions will advance to the finals May 28-June at Warner Park Frost Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn. When the smoke had settled, he'd gone 5-for-5 in the five-inning game with three singles, a triple and a home run. He drove in five runs and scored four.
