Arcadia UM ARCADIA — Arcadia United Methodist Church will open the seventh Sunday of Easter with Sunday school at 9 a.m. followed by worship. The Rev. Gerry Hubb, using scripture from Romans, will deliver the message "I Believe In..." A noisy offering will be taken. During the service, new confirmands will be welcomed into the congregation. A reception for these new members is planned after the service. The Wesley Class will meet after church at the American Table restaurant in Fostoria. Nursery services are available, and the church is handicapped accessible. College First FINDLAY — "Mind (and money, will, funeral planning, etc.)" is the sermon message for the 9, 10 and 11 a.m. services Sunday at College First Church of God. The scripture reading is Proverbs 13:20-23. Encounter meets every Wedneseday from 6-7:30 p.m. to introduce youth to Jesus. Enon Valley FINDLAY — Enon Valley Presbyterian Church, 20307 U.S. 224 East, will receive the confirmation class of 2026 into membership during the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday. New members include Brody L. Colman, son of Bret and Carly Colman; Cora Crystal Colman, daughter of Eric and Kari Colman; and Colt David Snyder and Case Joseph Snyder, sons of Nathaniel and Jess Snyder. A time of fellowship will follow the service. First Lutheran FINDLAY — All are welcome to worship at First Lutheran Church for the seventh Sunday of Easter. The Rev. Tucker O'Leary will share the message from John 17:1-11. Worship services are at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. The senior choir will sing "Come, Follow Me" at the later service. Requests for the Blessing Basket Food Pantry at St. John's Lutheran Church this month are spaghetti sauce, mushroom soup, Saltines, peas, pancake mix and syrup. These items can be placed on the cart by the elevator or dropped off at the pantry on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. O'Leary continues to lead a 15-minute midday prayer service at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday in the chapel for members and the community. Communion is offered on Tuesday and Thursday, and a short healing service is available Monday and Wednesday. First Presbyterian FINDLAY — First Presbyterian Church, 2330 S. Main St., welcomes all for worship at 10 a.m. Sunday. This week is Holy Humor Sunday where the congregation celebrates the humor and joy God shows to us. The Rev. Jessica Commeret will be preaching. Those attending should wear a funny hat or costume and come prepared to laugh. Coffee hospitality is available beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor and continues after the service. Childcare for infants and toddlers begins at 9:45. All are welcome. Following worship, the Adult Faith Formation will feature Tammy Stahl, executive director of Christian Clearing House, a local nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to Hancock County residents. She will share information about the organization's current needs and offerings. At 3 p.m., Tyrone Williamson will present a trumpet recital in the sanctuary. The Third Sunday Intergenerational Family Faith Formation will be at 5 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. with Taizé worship in the chapel. Good Hope Lutheran, Arlington ARLINGTON — Good Hope Lutheran Church offers three services each weekend including 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 7:30 and 10 a.m. on Sundays. Visitors and members are welcome to attend any of these services. On this seventh Sunday of Easter, the Rev. Steve Ramsey's sermon theme will be "What is Eternal Life, Anyway?" Bible readings will include Acts 1:6-14, Psalm 68:1-10 and 32-35, 1 Peter 4:12-14 and 5:6-11, and John 17:1-11. At the 10 a.m. service, the senior bell choir, under the direction of Dan Basinger, will present "My Country 'Tis of Thee" for the prelude, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for the anthem, and "America" for the offertory. A new member installation will also be held at this service to welcome several individuals and families into the congregation. Sunday school for all ages convenes at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Refreshments are available prior to the beginning of classes. A "New Member Reception" will be held during this time to meet and welcome those individuals who are joining the congregation. Classes for the children will be held as usual. Good Hope is finalizing plans for vacation Bible school to be held June 8-12 from 9-11 a.m. "Trailblazers of Faith" is open to youth in grades preK-6 grade. Fourth, fifth and sixth graders will have a special venue for a part of each day. Registration is available online. Redeemer Lutheran FINDLAY — On Mother's Day, the Rev. Bill Geiger told the congregation at Redeemer Lutheran Church that the day stands as a "beacon in our lives." Without mothers, he said, no one would exist to worship God and Jesus. His sermon topic was "Grace Versus Obedience — A Hard or Easy Choice." Geiger said John recorded Jesus' message, "If You Love Me, You will Keep my Commandments." Jesus also said, You will have a helper to keep the commandments and that is the Holy Spirit. Geiger noted that we still must do the work of keeping ourselves on the right path to love Jesus with all our soul and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. The adult Sunday school class viewed an episode of "The Chosen" where several of the followers and disciples were remembering incidents that affected how they were viewing the present lives of Jesus and his followers during the Passover season. Amy Miller will present the message, "You Are Not Your Worst Story," on Sunday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. The worship service begins at 9 a.m. and includes scripture, music, prayer, a children's message and a meaningful sermon. Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month, and all are welcome to participate. This Sunday, the Good News! will sing "Majesty!" St. Marks UM FINDLAY — St. Marks United Methodist Church's second annual Super Service Saturday will be held today. Church members will be out in the community filling little free pantries, helping the elderly with yard work and volunteering at the Habitat ReStore and Welcome to a New Life. They also are writing cards and letters to shut-ins and volunteering at one of the stops on City Mission's "Brake the Cycle of Homelessness" awareness event. The church's Give a Crock program provides a crockpot full of ingredients every month for 28 families. This month's recipe is Italian seasoned sausage and pasta. Registration is now being taken for St. Marks vacation Bible school June 16-19 from 6-8 p.m. It can be found under the "Events" tab at stmarksfindlay.org St. Paul Lutheran, Jenera JENERA — The seventh Sunday of Easter will be observed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9340 Township Road 32, during both the 9 a.m. traditional service and 11:15 a.m. contemporary service. The Rev. Deb Noll will speak on the topic, "United with Christ." The semi-annual congregational meeting is scheduled at 10:15 a.m. Noll will lead worship at Serenity Springs in Arlington at 2 p.m. Confirmation class begins at 5 p.m. with the ReFUEL youth meeting at 6. WELCA has a 7 p.m. meeting on Tuesday. Trinity Lutheran FINDLAY — Trinity Lutheran Church, 935 W. Bigelow Ave., will hold a Music Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday with the congreation celebrating its faith through music in both scripture and song. This music-focused liturgy will feature a hymnfest and special music by the Trinity Singers, Trinity Ringers and others. The service can also be viewed on YouTube and Facebook Live. There will only be one service Sunday. On Wednesday, a 7 p.m. service will be led by Mark Mueller. His message will be based on John 3:16, "Christ the Success." Communion will be offered. Starting next week, the Wednesday service begins at 6:30 p.m. The youth are selling geraniums for Pentecost with Sunday as the last day to order. Fliers to place an order are available on a table in the entryway. The American Red Cross will host a blood drive at the church from 1-6 p.m. May 28 in the east room. "Christmas in July — A Journey to Bethlehem" is open to preschoolers through children in fifth grade. St. John's Lutheran, First Lutheran, First Presbyterian and the TLC Preschool will join Trinity's youth. NORTH BALTIMORE — Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., which operates out of the Petro Truck Stop at 12900 Deshler Road, North Baltimore, will hold a dinner concert on Sunday. Upper Room FINDLAY — The Upper Room Church of God will continue its series, "From Now On…Living Out Our Faith," during the morning worship service on Sunday. The message is "From Now On...Stay Connected to the Family." The church theme for 2026 is "Limitless." The church is located at 520 W. Bigelow Ave. Life groups for all ages meet regularly at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, followed by spirit-filled worship at 10:30. Ben Wallick will continue his series on "Encountering Jesus" during the 9 a.m. worship service Sunday at West Independence Church. His sermon is titled "Who Can Forgive?" Scripture from Luke 5:17-26 will be the basis for his message. Youth and Children's Director Ed Moyer will present the Children's Moments. A nursery is available during worship. Coffee fellowship follows the service and is a time to greet and connect with one another. At 10:15, those attending can select the Sunday school class that is exploring a topic relevent to them. Gay Blau will speak on "Serve the Lord with Gladness," referenced in Psalm 100, at the 10:45 a.m. worship service at Zion United Methodist Church, 9009 W. Ohio 12.
