BASEBALL CALVERT 7 ARCADIA 0 ARCADIA – No. 1-ranked Tiffin Calvert lived up to the billing on Wednesday when the No. 1-ranked Senecas blanked Arcadia 7-0 in a nonleague baseball matchup. The Moyer twins were double trouble for Arcadia. Cameron Moyer earned the pitching win with five strong innings, allowing just one hit and striking out 12 batters. Braxton Shoemaker finished up for the 17-1 Senecas, pitching two scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Connor Moyer did his damage at the plate, driving in four runs with a pair of two-run singles. Aiden Allshouse had a double for Arcadia (10-12). MOHAWK 8 VAN BUREN 3 SYCAMORE – Mohawk broke a close game open with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and went to post an 8-3 baseball victory over Van Buren. Levi Tiell was 3-for-3 with two singles and a double, drove in there runs and scored twice for Mohawk (9-13). Andon Clouse and Cam Oesch added two hits each. GROVE 1 VAN WERT – Lincolnview capped off an unbeaten run through the Northwest Conference ranks with a dominating 18-1 win over Columbus Grove on Wednesday. The Lancers, 17-3 overall, were a perfect 7-0 in NWC games. Grove dropped to 13-7 overall, 4-3 in the league. ELMWOOD 11 LAKOTA 4 KANSAS – Elmwood chalked up its ninth win and dealt Lakota its ninth loss in Wednesday's nonleague battle. Elmwood climbed to 9-11-1, while Lakota fell to 10-9-1. In other games, Bucyrus improved to 6-17 with a 15-4 win over Vanlue (0-16), McComb (13-9) crushed Hardin Northern (1-15) 30-5, Pandora-Gilboa (5-15) scored a 6-1 victory over Kenton (5-10) and Van Wert (10-10, 3-6 WBL) scored four runs in the fourth inning and held on to beat Ottawa-Glandorf (10-11, 5-4 WBL) in Western Buckeye League action. Track NLL TRACK NAPOLEON – Findlay High's girls track team turned in three third-place finishes when the 2026 Northern Lakes League track meet got under way Wednesday in Napoleon. Abanna Dotson, Gabby Brankamp, Kayla Moyer and Natalie Gutman raced to a third-place time of 10:15.60 in the 3,200-meter relay. Aviana Howell was third in the shot put (32-4) and Olivia Gayhart was third (4-10) and Addison Lobb was eighth (4-8) in the high jump. Findlay's boys team placed fourth in the 3,200 relay with Russell Stine, Tyler Strabley, Camden Stechschulte and Lucas Parnell posting a time of 8:28.00. In other boys events that were completed on Wednesday, Maysen Hetrick placed seventh (19-4¼) in the long jump. The meet wraps on Friday in Napoleon.
