Stillings, Maas lead Findlay past Elmwood

FINDLAY 9 ELMWOOD 3 FINDLAY – Reece Stillings tripled, singled twice and drove in three runs, and three Findlay pitchers combined to keep Elmwood in check in a 9-3 non-conference win. The Trojans scored in each of the first five innings, putting up three runs in the third and again in the fifth. Ryan Maas got the win on the mound for the Trojans, going five innings and allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out five and walked two. Jackson Flechtner, Findlay's leadoff hitter, doubled, singled twice and drove in two runs. For Elmwood, Zach Schafer doubled and scored, while Kason Hammer and Abraham Kieffer had two hits each. Findlay (17-7, 10-3 NLL) will play at Sylvania Southview today in its conference finale. If the Trojans win, they will be in position to win a share of the Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division.
