Findlay K of C awards 10 scholarships

FINDLAY — Findlay Knights of Columbus Council #957 has awarded college scholarships to members, children and grandchildren of current or deceased members for over 35 years, starting in 1989. To date, 100 scholarships have been awarded to 71 recipients. Recipients of this scholarship can receive it multiple years but must reapply each year. The 2026 scholarship program includes 10 recipients. Two winners will receive a $1,250 scholarship: Carson Skulina, son of Mike and Beth Skulina, graduated from Cory Rawson High School and will be entering his third year at Ohio State University studying biology with a pre-health specialty. Carson is also a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. Megan Brinkman will graduate from Bowling Green High School. She will attend Trine University where she will study exercise science/physical therapy. Her parents are Mike and Amy Brinkman. Three winners will receive a $900 scholarship: Trevor Ferris, son of Nick and Beverly Ferris, graduated from Liberty-Benton High School. He is currently a freshman at Bowling Green State University majoring in finance. Clayton Holtzwart, a Findlay High School graduate, is currently a freshman at Ohio State University where he is majoring in accounting. He is the son of John and Amy Holtzwart. Devin Montalbine, son of Chris and Michelle Montalbine, is currently a junior at John Carroll University studying exercise science. He graduated from Liberty-Benton High School. Two winners will receive a $650 scholarship: Natalie Steffes, daughter of Brian and Allison Steffes, will graduate from Findlay High School. She will attend Bowling Green State University to study early childhood education. Justy VonLehmden is a graduate of St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo. He is currently a junior at John Carroll University majoring in finance/business. He is the son of Paul and LauraLee VonLehmden. Three winners will receive a $500 scholarship: Olivia Schroeder, daughter of Kent and Jill Schroeder, graduated from Findlay High School. She is currently in her first year at St. Mary's College majoring in nursing. Benjamin Muller graduated from Findlay High School and will attend Rhodes State College where he will study electro-mechanical engineering. He is the son of Dave and Audrey Muller. Mercedes Martinez-Wilmoth, daughter of Michael and Carrie Wolmoth, will graduate from Findlay High School. She plans to attend Bowling Green State University to study early childhood education.
