L'Eggo My Eggroll food truck rebrands

TOLEDO — A trademark dispute between Kellogg Co. and Findlay-based food truck L'Eggo My Eggroll has been resolved out of court, according to a new federal filing. Kellogg filed suit in June 2025 in U.S. District Court in Toledo, arguing the food truck's name infringed on the company's long-running "L'Eggo My Eggroll" slogan. The company claimed the truck's branding diluted and tarnished the Eggo trademark, which Kellogg says has been continuous and federally protected since 1972. In a newly filed settlement order, Kellogg asserts that L'Eggo My Eggroll's "unauthorized use" of the Eggo branding would cause "irreparable harm" if allowed to continue. The order requires the business to immediately stop using the name, logo or imagery like to cause confusion with the Eggo brand, including removing the disputed branding from its food truck. The local food truck must also delete all social media posts, marketing materials or other content containing the infringing language or imagery. It has 30 days from the filing date to demonstrate full compliance. As of publication, the company's Facebook page had been renamed Wok Up Street Hibachi and all L'Eggo My Eggroll branding appears to have been removed. Prior to the court filing, Kellogg sent multiple letters and oral requests urging the owners to stop using the name. Instead of compliance, court documents indicate the food truck owners responded with threats and demands of their own. The complaint sought a jury trial and demanded L'Eggo My Eggroll turn over "all gains, profits and advantages derived from the infringement." Kellogg also sought funds to conduct "corrective advertising" to address any "dilution" of the brand.
